Pip was rescued in July 2008 aged 5 after being used as a working dog, he was very skinny and had mange disease on his body and ears and looked very sad.
He is now fully recovered and absolutely gorgeous. I could not live without him.

This is my whippet, Smarty Jones, who was born just after Smarty Jones won the Kentucky Derby!
There is not a day goes by that he doesn't do something hilarious that makes me laugh. He is also the biggest slug in the world and loves nothing more than to lie under the duvet until he gets too hot.
They are they best dogs, even though they hate winter! But Smarty is a very warm dog with his two winter blankets on!

The larger dog in this whippet photo is Belle.
We got her in 2002 on Valentine's day after much research for the "prefect breed". I have severe pet dander allergies so we wanted a low allergenic dog.
Anyway, 6 years later, we decided it was time for a second one. And we recently took into our home, Mia, now 13 weeks old .
This picture shows their "natural habitat." Which, as for many whippets, is under a blanket, snuggled up on a couch. If there's not a person around, they snuggle with each other.
We have a half acre backyard, where they enjoy running around, chasing each other and such. Mia has enjoyed the recent snow we've received.
What else is there to say?
We're Whippet owners and wouldn't have it any other way.

Play time for the Lynderry Whippets.
They are: Mom (Sweetpea), Dad (Raphael) and the brothers all nearly six months old Indi Blue, Jasper and Woodwind (Parti colour).
Usually at this time they play their favourite game called
"Rabbit". The rabbit is usually Jasper and, my goodness, do they RUN! They zap in and out of the shrubs and bushes at great speed, having an absolute ball.
When all have had enough of this game of catches, they drink gallons of water, settle down, rest and dream about their exploits!!!

Christopher Louis Brown, Whippet, grew up on a Ranch and around cattle dogs. Although he is sight hound through and through, he has definitely picked up some of the habits of the Border Collies he lives with. He has also picked up some of the garb worn by his Ranching pals. As seen in this picture, Christopher is very handsome in his Western hat picked out for him by his Aunt Pen.
We adore Chris and think he is the greatest Whippet to ever grace the plains of California.
