Cassie and Lia, Whippet Mix Rescues

Hi! These are my girls!! I rescued them from a local rescue. Their mom was a setter mix (their dad was a whippet mix) she was dropped off at the rescue because their humans were going to lose their homes.

No one knew the mom was pregnant. A few days after being dropped off she gave birth to 9 puppies, all healthy!!

I adopted two the them, sisters. I found them on petfinder.com, love at first sight! I waited 3 weeks before going to see them.

I wasn't sure if I was ready to get a puppy let alone two.

I just lost my two beloved cats, a calico and tortie the year before. I adopted two kittens, one in Dec and one in June. I lost both of them to FIP. I was devastated.

When I saw the pups I knew it was what I needed.
We, me and the girls get together with 5 of the other puppies of the litter about 1-2 times a year. Every time they see each other it was like they never were separated!


Although I miss my cats, I will adopt one again soon, I totally love my girls!!!!
