Hi there, greeting from Austin. glad to find owners of whipadors! Billy came into my life 8 months ago...he is black with a white heart shape mark on his chest and a white rear left paw...I am so in love. He is such a ham. When I got him he was 26 pounds..he is now 41! any ideas on how much bigger he might get? and when would he stop growing?

We go to the Millie Bush Bark Park in George Bush park off of Westheimer. Is that really far for you?

Pepper has a sister Chili who is identical except has brown fur.

They very well could be sisters depending on where they picked up these puppies.

And even on our part we are not exactly sure when her birth month is. We found her in January but she was very tiny so she could have been born in December 2009.

I`m not sure what your pups looked like when you adopted them but it would be really neat for echo to meet other Whipadors!

Do you go to any dog parks often? I live in clear lake but I would be willing to meet you half way from here and Katy.

I believe that my dogs Pepper and Chile might be her sisters. See:

Pepper is the spitting image of Echo. There is an age discrepancy that could be explained by "guesstimation" on the part of the rescue folks. They state that mine were born on April 5, 2010. Could they be off by 6 months? I don't know.
I do know that there breed was listed as lab mixes.

I love your story, I have a 14 year old dog named Princess (little old named her when she was a pup). I believe her to be a whipador, her breed is unknown but she sure looks like one! She is all black except for a white splotch under her neck. Of course she is grey now on her face and feet since she is an old lady. Anyway she has been the BEST dog I have ever had. So smart, sweet, loving, and loyal.

Enjoy your Echo dog, if she is anything like Princess she too will likely be the best dog you have ever had.
