Found Molly at the shelter as a small puppy. Initially we were told she was a springer/lab mix, then the vet said German shorthair/lab mix. But Molly was not growing very tall so I did a DNA test to help with the curiosity.
The results blew me out of the water: whippet, lab, English bulldog, and stratforshire bull terrier!
Although the results were not what we expected, she is the sweetest dog and loves people including our four young boys.
People have remarked that she is a dog with a happy soul! And to top it off she behaves exactly like the typical whippet, what a great thing!
We just recently adopted a puppy who looks exactly like this from Muskegon! We were told Spaniel/retriever. She's super sweet and mellow. I thought maybe boxer and German shorthair too, but now that you have done the DNA, I'm curious!

English Shorthair Pointer by: Manisha
Nothing about this puppy's face says whippet. She looks to be an ENGLISH shorthair pointer. They grow to be about 50 lbs and about 3 feet tall. She's absolutely adorable and you're lucky to have found her in a shelter. ;)

Where did you get that puppy by: Anonymous
Where did you get that puppy?? I have a dog that looks exactly like him and I got him at a shelter in Saginaw, MI. My shelter said the same exact thing but the only difference as that my vet said blue heeler and my boyfriend said German shorthair pointer. I have been trying to figure out what kind of dog he is for two years!

DNA by: Jen
Just adorable. Where did you get the DNA test accomplished? At the vet? At home mail in? I'm thinking about doing one on my rescue. I was told he is dalmatian and greyhound, but I believe he might be whippet. Thank you for your help.
