Sounds just like Lucy but unfortunately she got away last sat and someone hit her and left her Tuesday right near our home. We are devasted. I know how you feel. We felt so blessed to have found Lucy at the shelter too! So smart and so loving and playful yet protective. We miss her so much. She was supposed to be our forever dog.

Wondering how much the whippet/pit mix weighs. I have a whippet/pit mix, she's 6 months old, i would like to have an idea of what her full grown weight might be??

OK, so given the size of that fighting ring bust, perhaps not, but we rescued a dog that was the very same age when rescued from those deplorable conditions who is a Pit/Whippet mix.

She is the love of our lives! Initially she had super "stranger danger" and was on prozac when we got her and for quite a few months afterward.

But now is med-free, lovingly welcoming any and all visitors to the house, lives for her ball during the day and a spare lap during the eves.

Some days, according to her mood, we'll refer to her as either a "whip-bull" or a "pippit". :)

Glad things worked out well also for Marley!
