Our previous beloved whippet has passed. And while we have had numerous breeds over the years, she was the most outstanding companion. We also trained her in basic obedience and agility. She did get her CGC certification from AKC. and she was a certified therapy dog, with TDI.
Our dog is leash walked several times a day....a crate, and beds throughout the house. She will also have a cat to think about.....the cat was best friends with our last Whippet. It took some careful adjusting and oversight, but worked out well
We also have a good support structures....vet, kennel for absences, and friends and family. Plus, our daughter is a Vet.
Ideally age would be 2 to 4 years. Perhaps a show dog that isn't going to make it in the show ring. Sex and color are irrelevant.
home Location is central Florida ...Near Spring Hill....in a well maintained private community with lots of good walking spaces.
Having trained , shown, raised puppies, developed/taught handlers, and even did some judging....I'm familiar with positive training and handling techniques.
My dogs have always turned out to be the best they can be, whether that's winning in a show ring, herding cattle, performing therapy dog responsibilities in a nursing home, socializing with my neighbors, or just being my best companion.
Thanks for any consideration.
