Harold (Harry) the Whippet Mix

I think I adopted a whippet mix.

I have two wire haired fox terriers at home and so when one was abandoned and taken to the SPCA a friend let me know as she knew that I would take him home.

Harry had wiry hair but the SPCA had him shorn and when I collected him it was easy to see that he was not a wire hair terrier.

He looks so much more slim, long legs, long snout and neck, beautiful deep chest and soft gentle eyes and nature. Loves sitting with me on the couch and is so graceful!

I'm certain he has whippet in him and so he is a lurcher!

My male wire hair terrier is also a rescue dog and had never been socialized, he is really difficult with other dogs and I have to restrain him so I was really nervous about bringing Harry home.

But Harry is not a fighter, he literally turns away and so the fight just does not happen. Harry has only been with us for 3 days and is already starting to settle in.

I wonder what he is.

Your description of Harry certainly sounds whippet - especially the part about his eyes. Maybe you did post a picture and it just didn't come up on my computer - I would love to see a photo though!
