My 6-year-old whippet, Glenna is truly my best friend.
She is affectionate, loving and understanding.
She is great to snuggle and travel with. Plus, she's so fun to watch because she does such funny things...sleeps in silly positions, remakes the bed daily to suit her taste, and buries bones in the furniture instead of chew on them.
